Observing the System at Work: A Case Study
One way to consider the merits of PLSM is to consider a case of a failed product development and launch that was a result of unclear strategy, weak implementation, and short-sighted follow through. It is no surprise that such an approach to the market and accompanying strategy would result in missing an important trend in the macroenvironment. This is contrasted with a thought experiment that envisions the same company having a “do-over” that in this case employs the PLSM approach. This example is the Everycloud case.
