Stage #2: Plan the Project

INTRODUCTION

In this chapter, we cover the Plan Stage in which, depending on the relative Scope and Priority of the project, the Project Manager may need to:

  • Prepare a detailed “roadmap” for exploiting the opportunity for improvement (OFI) (e.g., goal, pain point, or problem, etc.) that was identified in the Align Stage and that is being addressed by this project.
  • Refine its objectives.
  • Determine the scope, quality, schedule, budget/resource, and risk constraints for the project.
  • Create an Enrollment Plan to generate support for the Change Agenda.
