Our hearts are always talking to us. In psychology, it's referred to as inner dialogue. Normally, they talk to us gently, bring out our desires, calm us down, and make us feel comfortable even in unfamiliar situations. However, when you face a problem or a failure, the inner dialogue may turn negative. If this turns into a habit, it becomes a negative assumption.
In the story, Reisa came to realize that she was feeling irritated at her superior in her new workplace because she held faulty assumptions. This realization was a huge step toward her understanding herself. This is a big step toward understanding yourself.
To add to that, Reisa realized that she also held certain assumptions about her former superior at her last workplace and that it was the source of her stress back then.
If you start to understand your assumption patterns toward others, you may be able to come to a better understanding of your interpersonal relationships.
Occurrences are neutral, neither good nor bad. However, depending on the person, the way they view them varies. Even if they face the same situation, they may react or behave differently.
