The Definition of Working with Resilience
You'll find it rewarding when you're able to use your strengths not only for yourself, but also for those around you, such as your family, your community, and for society.
People who find meaning in their work have solid resilience. Having a high sense of purpose gives them the strength to overcome difficulties and predicaments.
However, according to a 2015 survey of men and women aged 18 to 29 by the Dentsu Institute, many found their work to be unfulfilling. Only about 10% stated that their reason for working was “to gain a purpose in life,” while about 30% answered that “they don't want to work if possible.” The most common response at 69% was “for a stable income.” And when asked about how they choose jobs, “I want to work at a company that is as stable as possible,” at 37%, outnumbered “I want to choose a job/company where I can earn as much money as possible,” at 24%.
From a psychological research perspective, we can see that this view of work is biased.
