Application software
We've covered the main types of system software, so let's turn now to
application software. This is the software that enables us to do the
things that we bought our computer for, such as playing games,
writing music, creating animated displays, or administering the
office.
Application software is normally supplied as
a
package,
consisting
of:
• the software, supplied on one or more floppy disks
• a manual, explaining how to use the software
• training material, either supplied on disk, or in
a
booklet, or both.
