So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The statement of purpose, the context diagram, and the event list
together make up the environmental model This describes the
purpose of the system in the larger scheme of things and shows the
interactions that take place between the system and its environ-
ment.
Activity
Write down the event list for the system you chose to study in
previous activities. Base your list of flow-oriented events on the
inward-pointing dataflow lines on your context diagram, and base the
list of temporal events on the reports in that diagram
