It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6Replication Agent
Replication Agent for Adaptive Server Enterprise is an internal thread to the data server. Replication Agent for a non-Sybase database is an external program that logs into the primary database. Replication Agent scans the transaction log of the primary database for transactions or stored procedure executions for objects that are marked for replication. It then forwards those transactions to the primary Replication Server using Log Transfer Language (LTL). Each primary database can only have one Replication Agent thread.
