In this chapter we will discuss common problems encountered with replication, including issues with Replication Agent, DSI, stable queues, data not replicating, and data latency.
Replication Agent scans the transaction log of the primary database, converts log records directly into LTL commands, and forwards them to the Replication Server in batches. After sending records to the inbound queue, Replication Agent requests a new secondary truncation point for the transaction log. The primary Replication Server returns a cached locator and writes this locator to the rs_locater table in the RSSD database.
