laid process is similar to paper-making process, where web formation is
carried out by using water as medium. Web bonding can be done to impart
strength to the nonwoven fabrics by thermal or mechanical or chemical
means. Each process produces a media with unique properties that have
advantages in different applications.

Dry-laid media which are isotropic in structure are produced with air-
laid web laying technology in which bers are suspended in air, then col-
