lter and attaches itself permanently. In the second mechanism, dirt can col-
lect as cluster aggregates, which are collection of particles, created by the
triboelectric nature of bers or the electrostatic charge that is generated dur-
ing uid ow. In the third, dirt can be trapped between the pores of the lter
media, particularly when they become clogged and reduced in size. The last
opportunity for a lter to capture dust arises from the interaction between
