12.5 The Node Tool
Like all of Inkscape, the Node tool—the second button from the top in the main toolbar, also accessible by pressing 
or 
—strives to make simple things easy and hard things possible. This is probably the most complex of all the Inkscape tools; in any event, the number of keyboard and mouse shortcuts available in the Node tool is bigger than in any other tool. You certainly don’t have to know all of its tricks in order to use Inkscape efficiently, but you do have to know the basics.
