25Simplifying Complexity

25.1 Recommendations

Managing complex projects presents unique challenges that require strategic approaches to simplify and explore complexity. While it is impossible to eliminate complexity, project managers can implement several techniques to reduce its impact and improve project outcomes. In previous chapters, many recommendations were given throughout this book, but this section presents a summarized list for simplifying project complexity, drawing from established research and industry best practices.

One fundamental approach to simplifying complexity is adopting a systems thinking perspective.
