We don't need to set up a barrier for the whole buffer. We can do it only for part of the buffer's memory. To do this, we just need to specify proper values for the offset and size members of a variable of type VkBufferMemoryBarrier, defined for a given buffer. Through these members, we define where the contents of the memory start, and what the size of the memory is for which we want to define a barrier. These values are specified in machine units (bytes).
