Before embarking on a journey of the dos and don'ts of IT infrastructure, it is important to define the term. I define infrastructure as IT hardware, software, data, components, systems, applications, and the service desk that supports them. Other definitions that I have seen include the people associated with IT, but as you will have noted in the previous chapter, we have separated them out.
