The User Interface
The first thing you need to take care of is the user interface. If every page looked like the home page, there wouldn't be any room for content, so you're going to move the buttons up to the top of the page, next to the logo. You still want the buttons to be links. Ultimately, you want something like Figure 3.1.
GEEK SPEAK: User interface refers to the graphics and text that help the user navigate through an application or Web site.
A Graphical User Interface includes graphics, buttons, and other form elements that make it easier for a user to accomplish tasks with a system. Non-GUI interfaces are text-only, and rely heavily on keyboard commands.
GUI is short for Graphical User Interface.
