If you have multi-billion rows, InnoDB is definitely the right choice, but, depending on the payload size of the response, it might or might not be the right choice. For example, if the average row size is around 10 MB, then it would definitely cause performance issues, which would lead to the misinterpretation of the multi-billion rows capability, but, at the same time, if an average row size is around 1 KB, then InnoDB is definitely the right choice for a multi-billion rows dataset.
