I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How group communication works
To allow multiple servers to execute writes in parallel, consistency should be maintained. There are three roles for each member:
- Proposers, who suggest values for consideration by the acceptors
- Acceptors, who consider the value proposed by proposers and decide whether to accept or reject the proposal
- Learners, who learn the value chosen by the acceptors
The task is to deliver a message across the distributed system atomically and in total order.
