A few years ago there was a powerful video making the rounds on social networks that was titled The Power of Words. It was produced by an agency selling its creative services and many were moved to tears the first time they saw it:
A beggar sits on a busy high street with a cardboard sign that says: ‘I’m blind. Please help.’ A few people are dropping their pocket change in front of him, but most passers-by are ignoring him. Until a young woman walks by, stops, turns around and stands in front of him. He touches her shoes, which are textured leather lace-up short boots. She looks at him and looks at the sign, pulls a marking pen out of her handbag, picks up the sign, writes something on it, and walks off – probably to her job as a marketer! ...
