I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The audio/visual industry has a huge international turnover. For many millions of people, television is the prime means, and often the only choice of entertainment. Such a potentially profitable product requires tight budgetary control and efficient methods of production. Location camerawork is part of this industrial process and requires the standard professional disciplines of reliability, efficiency and consistent product quality. Quality is the result of good technique. Being reliable and efficient is a combination of the personal approach to the job and using and understanding technology. Road craft is preparing and maintaining the essential camera equipment needed for location production.
