Editing requirements (1)
In-camera editing requires each shot to be recorded consecutively. Before recording a new shot, the previous shot must be previewed using the PLAY button on the VTR and when the edit point is decided pressing STOP. After pressing the RET button on the lens the tape will be rewound in approximately 7 seconds. When VTR START is pressed, action must be cued and taken up instantly on the cue. Any retake will require an earlier cut to avoid the cut it replaces with the consequent loss of another few frames of the previous shot (previous recording length must be at least 4 seconds).
