Introduction

In this chapter, we review the concept of psychological safety, drawing inspiration from important research papers. We start with a review of definitions of psychological safety from the perspective of relevant scholars, and we identify the main blockers of psychological safety. The clear connection between the emergence of psychological safety with conscious leadership practices is discussed.
