Getting Photos Online with EasyShare

Kodak EasyShare gives you two ways to put your photos online. If you use the EasyShare software to organize your photo collection on your PC (as discussed in the previous chapter) then you can upload your pictures from the same window without missing a beat (Figure 6-3). Then, there’s EasyShare Gallery (http://www.kodakgallery.com), the online component. This site lets you upload photos using any Web browser, which is great when you’re on the road or have your browser window open anyway. (See “Uploading Photos with Your Web Browser” in Section 6.3.2.)

Online photo-service companies compete with each other, so it’s not surprising to find many similarities. For Shutterfly, and Snapfish, the emphasis is on selling photo prints and other related merchandise. (Prices are likely to vary as companies compete with one another, but as of this writing, Snapfish offered the lowest print prices.)
