Having established a number of interrelated processes to meet the requirements of its OHSMS, the next logical step for an organisation is to prepare for implementation and control of these processes. All OHSMS processes, not just those dealing with direct OH&S risks, require some level of operational control. Some hazards and controls are specifically outlined in legislation. However, in all cases, the employer has a duty of due diligence and is responsible for taking all reasonable precautions, under the particular circumstances, to prevent injuries or accidents in the workplace.
