CHAPTER 20: BEYOND ISO 45001
What happens after an organisation has established an OHSMS that meets all the requirements of ISO 45001? This may be the most important question that will determine the success and the continual improvement of OH&S in an organisation. Many concede that it is easier to execute the formalities and documentation of the Standard, and much more difficult to sustain a continually improving OH&S culture in an organisation. Suffice it to say that implementing an ISO 45001-based OHSMS is not an end in itself. It simply lays down a good foundation for a robust and well-thought-out safety system.
