So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6Make a Difference Without Making a Pull Request
When most people think of contributing to free and open source software projects, they usually think of the sort of thing we covered in the prior chapter: changing files to fix bugs or add features. These changes are then committed to the repository that holds the project’s files. While this type of contribution certainly holds the greatest mindshare, it’s far from the only way you can contribute to FOSS projects. It may not even be the most common type of contribution.
