3. Cooperative systems communicate information straight to vehicles and drivers. The main
advantage of cooperative systems rests in their potential to improve the interface to the
driver and thus to almost guarantee that a warning is received. Cooperative systems include
vehicle-to-vehicle communication and also infrastructure-to-vehicle communication.
