Other parts of our research are also related to existing works in the area. In Section 8.3.1, the
part of the representative election process where nodes are chosen according to their remaining
energy is based on [22], although we adapt the algorithms for mobile WSN. The addressing scheme
exposed in Section 8.3.2 resembles the one used by the Zigbee Networking [23], although our work
minimizes the overhead and provides dynamic address spaces, support from merging networks,
and a truly decentralized strategy.
