MONITORING options for Azure SQL Databases is very similar to options for other Azure resources. Options available for MONITORING are Alerts (Classic), Metrics (preview), and Diagnostic settings. All of these features are available for Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Web Apps, and these were covered in previous chapters.
