It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing Integration Services
The next step is to install Integration Services. In real life, either you will be installing Integration Services on a clean Windows platform—that is, on a system where no current or previous releases of SQL Server are installed—or you will be installing it on a computer that already has DTS 2000 installed. Both these scenarios are discussed in the following sections.

Most production systems are built using this method. Administrators prefer to install SQL Server on a fresh installation of Windows Server to avoid any debugging later on because of some old component on the server that doesn’t work properly with SQL Server 2005 Integration Services.
