I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Web Service Task
You can read data from a Web Service method and write that data to a variable or a file using the Web Service task. For example, you can obtain a list of postal codes from the local postal company, write it to a flat file using the Web Service task, and then do the lookup against this postal codes file to clean or standardize your data at loading time.
Similar to FTP task uses FTP Connection Manager to connect to the FTP server, Web Service task uses HTTP Connection Manager to connect to the web service. HTTP Connection Manager specifies the server URL, user credentials, optional client certificate details, time-out length, proxy settings, and so on.
