Working with Integration Services Folders and Packages

As you have seen, Integration Services provides two top-level folders—Running Packages and Stored Packages. The Running Packages folder lists the currently running packages. You will be monitoring long running packages from this place. Stored Packages lists the packages saved to the file system or to the SQL Server msdb database. This area is configurable and extensible. You will be working with this area a lot to manage the storage of your folders.
