Color theory

Color theory, in simple terms, is a formal framework for guidance on color perception, mixing, matching, and methods for replication. There have been different attempts over the years to formally define colors based on color wheels, primary colors, secondary colors, and so on. Color theory is thus a broader field under which we formally define attributes associated with colors like chroma, hue, formulae, and so on.
