- absolute path
Paths that contain a complete address that anyone could use to get to a Web page. (See also relative path.)
- accessibility
A subset of usability that refers to a Web site’s suitability for use by anyone, regardless of age or disability. (See also usability.)
- alignment
The horizontal placement of a paragraph, specified by using the
text-align
attribute.- anchor
A marker within an HTML document, roughly analogous to a bookmark in a Microsoft Word document.
- argument
Text within a tag that contains information about how the tag should behave.
- ASCII art
Artwork created by using text characters.
- background image
An image that appears behind the text on a Web page. By default, the image is tiled to fill the page, and scrolls with the page.
