Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) allow us to keep Azure resources in a non-internet routable network. The main benefit of VNets is that we can control and restrict the overall access to Azure resources to and from. We can connect to on-premise resources too with VPN.
VNET Integration allows us to configure a web application so that it can access a web service or database available in Azure VNets. There are three options available in Networking:
- VNET Integration: This is to access Azure resources available in or through Azure VNets
- Hybrid Connections: This is to access applications in private networks
- App Service Environment: This is to host Azure web application in an Azure VNet
