Integrating with other services
So far, with Step Functions, we've covered integrations with Lambda. This service can orchestrate the inputs and outputs of data from other services as well. More services are being added to the supported list over time. Some of the latest services to be added as integrations to Step Functions are as follows:
- Amazon ECS and AWS Fargate
- Amazon DynamoDB
- Amazon SNS and SQS
- AWS Batch and Glue
- Amazon SageMaker
These give you much greater flexibility in how you create serverless applications because you can take both the interface and the decision logic out of your Lambda functions and externalize that into the workflow.
