Batch

Batch processing is by far the most common type of data processing. If you consider, for example, traditional business intelligence and data warehouse workloads, usually there's a fixed schedule that defines when an Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) will happen. Often, this implies taking action on a relatively large amount of data at once. The batch model is also the most cost-effective of all of the processing types and will generally be efficient enough for most of the business use cases out there.

Ideally, you should only consider micro-batch or streaming when you are sure the batch method is not good enough for your solution.
