If the objects are in the same set, the morphism is known as an endomorphism. In other words, the morphism maps back onto itself. An example of this would be a domain A of natural numbers (positive integers), morphisms comprised of addition and multiplication operations, and a range of B, which will consist of natural numbers. Another example would be the set of numbers 1 to 12 on a 12-hour analog clock.
