Actors audition for a part in a movie and are advised not to ask whether they got the part. The fact is that if the director wants you, he'll find you. That's the Hollywood principle of "Don't call us. We'll call you".

In traditional programming, the actor would audition and then ask the director if they got the part. That's not how the Hollywood Principle works.
