On a Mac, we can use homebrew to install and manage our Go installations:
brew search go
Running the preceding command might return result like this:
go
go@1.4
go@1.5
go@1.6
go@1.7
go@1.8
The checks indicate which versions of Go are already installed. To install go version 1.5, we can run brew install go@1.5. To install the latest version of go (currently 1.9), run brew install go.
