I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
12.8 Conclusions
In this chapter, we have covered the LTE-Advanced Release 11 and 12 features and outlook. The Release 11 work will in many respects complement the Release 10 LTE-Advanced framework while Release 12 is foreseen to contain more completely new items with some of them introduced in this chapter. The Release 11 topic list is more or less concluded with the items to be ready by the end of 2012, then followed by the Release 12 work and study items expected to be finalized during 2014 with the official timing still to be determined in 3GPP. Many of the Release 11 topics enable further improved performance of the LTE and LTE-Advanced operation, as well as improved deployment flexibility in different network topologies foreseen to appear to meet the increased demand for mobile data capacity and data rates.
