hen building the AM transmitter in
Experiment 3 and the test signal generator
in Experiment 1, the only way to determine the
frequency of a carrier wave was by doing some
calculations using the values of coils, capacitors,
and resistors. Then you could check the math,
approximately, by trying to find the signal with an
AM radio tuning dial.
