the screen. The frequency will fluctuate between measurements, and
if you increase the temperature of the 7555 circuit by blowing on it, you
can see the frequency change by up to 1kHz. The values of the resistors
and the capacitor that determine the frequency change slightly when the
temperature changes, and the properties of the timer chip itself change as
well. This poor frequency stability is a reason 555 and 7555 timers are not
often used in radio applications—the stability of quartz crystals, such as the
one keeping time in the Pico, is much better.
