Running inference using Python code

Once you've completed all the installation procedures, the next task is to perform inference using the Intel Movidius Neural Computing stick that's attached to the Raspberry Pi with a camera module. The camera module here is the edge device, while the Raspberry Pi with the Intel Movidius Neural Computing stick is the processor unit.

Note the Raspberry Pi itself cannot perform inference with the neural network as processing will be very slow. With an Intel OpenVINO neural computing stick, you will see a very little delay. As a comparison, refer to the Object detection on Raspberry Pi using TensorFlow Lite, where a TensorFlow model will be deployed to a Raspberry Pi using tflite without a neural network stick. ...
