During installation, I found that I had to navigate between several pages to get everything right. Here are the step-by-step instructions that worked for me. You are welcome to use the official site or the instructions given here to get everything working:

Each of the following lines is a separate instruction. This means that to enter one command, hit Enter and wait for it to be displayed in your console, indicating it's completed, before entering the next command.

1. Enter the following commands in the Terminal to install the necessary components for OpenCV:

$sudo su
