Setting up the Google Cloud SDK

The Google Cloud SDK is a set of command-line tools that enables your PC to interact with Google Cloud. Since, in this section, we will be using Ubuntu Terminal to interact with Google Cloud, we need to set up the SDK first. Enter the following commands in Terminal:

$ echo "deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/cloud.google.gpg] http://packages.cloud.google.com/apt cloud-sdk main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-cloud-sdk.list$ curl https://packages.cloud.google.com/apt/doc/apt-key.gpg | sudo apt-key --keyring /usr/share/keyrings/cloud.google.gpg add -$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install google-cloud-sdk$ gcloud init
