Setting up an AWS account, billing, and limits
Increase the service limit to ml.p3.2xlarge or something similar by contacting AWS Support. Note that it may take up to two business days for the instance type to get approved, so plan accordingly. If this is not done, then you will get the following error:
ResourceLimitExceeded
The account-level service limit, ml.p3.2xlarge, for training job usage is zero instances, with a current utilization of zero instances and a request delta of one instance. Please contact AWS Support to request an increase in this limit.
