Day-to-day DAG management and operations
Setting up a new DAG is neither something to do on a whim nor something you should attempt unless you have sufficient knowledge of all the technologies that are involved. These include the following:
Exchange 2013
Windows Failover Clustering
Networks
Exchange hides most of Windows Failover Clustering when it builds and maintains a DAG. In the normal course of events, you should never have to look at the cluster details unless a problem occurs and you have to carry out some investigation to retrieve information, probably under the direction of Microsoft Support. Even so, it’s still a good idea to know the nature of the beast you are dealing with, if only at a reasonably high level.
