It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

30. Are there any other routing protocols that I should know about?
Three in particular are IGRP, EIGRP, and IS-IS, which we briefly mentioned earlier.
All three are interior gateway protocols, and like OSPF are alternatives to RIP. IGRP and
EIGRP are proprietary Cisco Systems protocols, and hence appropriate for Cisco environ-
