It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

One way this is done is through the resource reservation protocol (RSVP), which is an
Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard that operates at layer 3 of the OSI model.
RSVP can be thought of as an IP-based quality of service (QoS) protocol that provides a
mechanism to control network latency for specific applications. This is done by prioritiz-
