So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Introduction
This rst chapter of the book examines the eld of management from a specic
angle. The idea is to explore the tasks that management is facing everyday from the
point of view of its different challenges. Management activity does not take place in
a laboratory or in some stable environment where everything is controlled and out-
